This has reminded me how come I switched to short term trading based on technical indicators. Trying to slog through all the reports and news and doing research is at least 20 times the work of checking the charts and trading logs

No kidding.. and after you pore through all that, market sentiment really decides where stocks go these days.. the markets have to agree with your point of view to make it as a long term investor.
