This could mean more than 5,000 felons cast ballots, if the pattern holds up across the state. Nearly 6 million people voted in Florida's 67 counties.

The vast majority of the votes by felons, nearly 75%, were cast by registered Democrats. The felons included 62 robbers, 56 drug dealers, 45 killers, 16 rapists and seven kidnappers.

Dear Doug: I watched every minute of the trial Saturday. I was VERY impressed with Beck. IMHO he effectively shot down the machine witness, he rattled the statitician and showed AGAIN that the Gore team filed FALSE DATA with the court and Supreme Court and data that EVEN the witness was unaware of. Unlike MSNBC IMHO I thought that Burton was a good witness for Bush team and satisfied the Judge that IN FACT the WPB group did follow the Judge Lambargas order and if there was anyone too liberal it will be Broward. Its pretty obvious to me the measurement as to whether or not there will be a recount will NOT hinge on the equipment now but possibly on the matter of law which is yet to be heard. I wont be able to watch it all today, which is too bad as I think its going to get really interesting. JDN
