markets are looking at current expectations being too high: Q4 possibly being revised to lower than Q3. Q1 is already expected to be lower than Q4. Q2 and beyond seem too optimistic.

Very good point. An additional twist concerns the now ubiquitous "whisper numbers". I've noticed that the published consensus going forward has been quietly revised downward for many on my watch list. For the past couple years, the unpublished "whisper" has been more important, and always higher, than the consensus. I wonder if the "whisper" will now be lower than consensus so that if the bar hasn't been lowered enough publicly, they can still justify bidding up on a miss of consensus. LOL!
