We already have a system of equal representation for all states

Interesting statement....

Kinda like saying a general presidential election is redundant because we already have a House of Representatives who reflect the populations of various states.

Can you see how that system would disenfranchise millions of people?

No more than how the current system favors the city dwelling folks over the rural areas of America.

If populations grow even denser in urban areas, I could imagine a time when 4 states eventually would have the population to determine the presidency for the foreseeable future.

However, on the other hand, since the number of members of congress is locked in, those heavily populated states are seeing their power reduced gradually. All that occurs now is a reshuffling of district boundaries.

Regards,

Ron
