I see in Europe, the telecoms sector -centered in wireless- being the locomotive of the economy. Telecoms will do what the automotive industry did last century.

ERICY is using Skanska -a construction company as its contractor for mobile infrastructure. Siemens is trying to train project managers that used to build nuclear power stations (for KWU) to build telecoms networks.

The builders of old age are being recycled as builders of the new age.

Now add to that the Japanese who need to load their electro-electronics factories and the push can be formidable. Other part the Japanese are playing: The big mobile operators want to diminish the market power of ERICY, NOK and MOT. They would love to see some Japanese coem to compete in the infrastructure business.
