Ballot mining in Miami-Dade, Dems were going for the ore, core...Gore vote only in the three heavy demo counties.

Judge Sauls asked the Officer if he followed the instructions on the voting machine and cleaned any loose chads.

CRay, you wrote:

"The ballot irregularities will happen equal for Bush and Gore, since it is mechanical and not subjective.

"Why should they ONLY recount the irregularities in heavily democratic districts?"

CRay, I believe you just answered your own question. Mr. Bush didn't, within the 72-hour period Florida election law requires, request a hand recount in any Republican counties.
He had the same right as Mr. Gore had. Mr. Gore requested the hand count and Gore, as a candidate down only 327 votes out of six million cast, should have gotten the recount. We're in court today, because Bush used Harris to circumvent what Florida law allowed.

Even in consideration to the above, Mr. Gore, early on in the controversy agreed to a statewide recount. Mr. Bush, once again, declined.

Can't you realistically see that this situation ONLY exists because of the Jeb Bush-Katherine Harris connection? This would not have happened in any other state, except maybe Texas. And if it did happen in Texas, Texas law allows for hand recounts in close elections.
