I don't know the electoral count for Bush or Gore at the moment and I don't have a strong interest as to the eventual occupant of the White House. But I have been watching the court testimony closely (fine drama) and of course it's all based on political affiliation. I see the Bush camp trying to stall as their man has a slim lead...and the Gore camp trying to allow some more counting so that Gore can regain the lead. I'd like to see the U.S. Supreme Court or Florida Supreme Court or maybe the British Parliament declare the race a tie and award each candidate 12 1/2 Florida electoral votes. Let the electoral college do their voting on Dec. 18th and the man with the majority of electoral votes, not necessaily 270, becomes our next president. I don't know the numbers so I don't know the outcome, nor do I know if any of the electors in the other states will "bolt" and vote their conscience and not as they are instructed to vote. It could work. But of course it won't be suggested or accepted.
