Tazio,

my definition of a bounce is a 3 to 5 day affair.

As for a rally ensuing a resolution to the presidential election I'm with you in the assessment that it probably won't have any staying power. One of the reasons that I think it could turn out to be a very short-lived bounce or even a non-event is that everybody and their mother seems to be expecting it. IMO that may have been one of the reasons that we did not get a real capitulation on Thursday as everyone is holding on for that relief rally and many are probably buying in anticipation. If that's the case then there may just not be enought people around to buy the good news when it comes.
