I don't think so, Gao. It was my understanding (correctly?) that the specific issue of the recount deadline - whether the FlSC interpreted law or made law in setting that deadline - was presented in the SC case.

An additional issue being deliberated by the SC is the right to vote or not...?

I haven't followed the case before the SC as closely as I have other issues/events, so help in clearing my confusion is appreciated.

But I still have the question whether the SC ruling will affect the current election as we have moved out of the recount phase and into the contest phase. It just seems as though whatever the SC rules it will affect future elections but not this one. ?
