Hi Brian,

I have been long QCOM for a bit over a year now.
I am also long Nokia, Motorola, Sierra Wireless
WiLan, Socket Communications to name a few

I am an Engineer in the wireless industry. My concern
which has surfaced recently is from the AT&T Wireless
move to GPRS/WCDMA.

As Diamond H points out probably correctly that this is
a bad Move for AT&T and they should have chosen CDMA2000.
My concern is the balance in my portfolio. I have been quite happy to have NOK etc thrive in Europe and QCT-based
products thrive inside the US, Brazil, Korea, China to some degree.

I prefer (from my perspective) to have QCT maintain a shut-out of WCDMA in the US. This latest move has raised some concerns for SPINCO's longterm success since they have a lock on CDMA2000 and their will be more players in the WCDMA game.
