We'll have to agree to disagree. The state election processes are a mess, and perhaps a fraud on many voters who want to vote, but see their votes discarded. Local elections can stay as they wish; but there's an obvious national interest in Presidential races to the feeling of fairness that only uniformity as to technology and standards can supply.
