I'd say a recession in the US will lead to a deflationary spiral around the world.

What Soros failed to mention (of the 20 minutes I happened to catch) is that that trade deficit represents Asian and European exports to the US. If the exports to the US dry up, their economies slow considerably more than will the US.

And that will weaken THEIR currencies vis a vis the USD....

AG had better play it VERY careful...
