David, maybe the Murdoch empire is more intellectually consistent than I thought. Still I bet they are completely cynical about what effect they have in places where they operate outside Australia. Here in the states we get from them on the one hand the "preachy" prudery from that idiot "Dr. Laura" along with all that "ditto-speak" but at the same time they also provide the most laviscious "soft-porn" of all the networks for our children to watch. Either the provider of such a stream of garbage either does not give a damn about the effect such material might have on the target audience or worse, maybe they really are trying to do some real damage to the American social fabric, after all Murdoch is an alien, passport or not. All of this just screams for local ownership of media laws, better to be polluted by devils we know than by devils we don't know. By the way, have you been watching CCU lately? Its been swinging like an optical stock. WSR
