re: Mairs & Power Growth Fund

Another thing amazing is Mairs does not try to anticipate the market. He almost always keeps cash at 1% of the fund. Some stocks like ADC Telecom grew very rapidly and he takes some profits to keep it from turning into a lopsided position. And yet portfolio turnover is kept at 6%. Honeywell has been a large position for years and will become GE stock. Norwest bank has been owned since 1960 and now has become Wells Fargo.

I like Mairs style along with Jim Oelschlager at Oak Funds. Probably my two favorite funds because they perform well over long periods of time without large tax consequences. White Oak turnover is 6% also.
