How can I explain how a person believes his vote is weighted differently when I believe that to be a false assumption. The relevance of the individuals vote is to how his state votes. It goes no further. The weight of a vote in each state is equal.

A person does not have a presidential vote outside of that which he casts for his states chosen electors. Although not apparent to many, that is all the presidential vote does.

It is the state that votes for the presidency. Just as a vote for an individual representatives to the US Congress and Senate are equal.
