Yes, it's a little pricey. I think around $4,700 at the store I visited which tends to charge full or close to full retail.

At the moment, I have a 40 inch widescreen Toshiba, but it's not HD-capable. I use it almost exclusively to watch DVD's for which the set is perfectly suited. Having 2 young uns, I don't get to the movies much anymore! And the set sees more than it's fair share of Tarzan, Toy Story, A Bug's Life, and other assorted Disney movies. My 2 year old and I have spent many weekends plopped on the couch with popcorn and drink watching these movies.

What I *really* want next is some kind of projector: one of those digital light processors or at least a widescreen Sony LCD. If the market will be nice to me, I'll have it next year maybe. :-) IBM going to $300 baby! I need some new tail pipes for the Camaro too. :-)
