I agree.

If EGGS is any indication, some stocks at $1 still have large short positions. 7 times its daily average volume.

So .... if they are still short at 1, but are long gone by .25 .... they must cover somewhere in between.

Stocks $1 or under with large short positions. Now that would be an interesting scan !

If they have not covered it is probably for tax reasons.....unless they have elected trader status (mark to market accounting for end of year here in US), they will not have to recognize gains until they have covered.
