Whatever Voltaire's faults, it does strike me that he is motivated by a genuine desire to help others and see them prosper. And by the admissions of many, he seems to be failing more than miserably. "Intent" is a very different thing than "result". . As long as he attempts to do so from a basis of optimism and faith he will be frequently embarrassed, wrong in many specific instances, and perhaps even devastated on occasion. Meanwhile, funds dwindle quite rapidly. I wonder what is worse, being embarrassed or becoming poor because of such faith ? Remember: The greatest tragedy of all history is the murder of a beautiful theory, by a gang of brutal facts. But in the long run he will likely prevail. In what ? Angelical Bonding? May be. However, in investment advice: Not very likely, not in this type of market and not with angels as advisors. Dwelling in hatred, resentment, envy, and bitterness will no doubt win you a few gratifying victories from time to time, but it doesn't necessarily prepare you to succeed in your own right. Look in the mirror!
