Hi sy, you're right. Just think of how the cellphone craps out as you drive through a tunnel... the propagation into a tunnel depends upon the rock... whether it can support more EM signals deeper or not... in general, a few hundred feet at best. So unless they put R2 boxes in tunnels you get dropouts, as you said. Thankfully, people don't really spend hours in the tunnels during their travels, they'll just need to spend the few minutes reading the last download, LOL!
