While I agree - at some level - might also some of the blame be placed FIRMLY at the feet of the highly placed Republican muckety mucks who haven't (over the years) pushed forward more Electric personalities?

While that may be true of that single Presidential race, I see the Republican party "management" as being distant from the more radical fringes of our party. I'm not talking about the loons of the David Duke faction here, rather the more extreme edge of the Freedom First sector!

Republicans must bring forward the both the "Small Government" & "less intrusive government" mantras.
