So far, the Tech collapse has mirrored the up and down of precious metals in 1974-82.

It's now been nearly 20 years since gold and silver flopped and they've never recovered. Can you imagine a scenario where technology issues go into the toilet for that long? Scary conclusion is "Why not?".
