Lieberman also said there is no way he and gore would work to disenfranchise our fighting men and women. But, his attorneys must have different instructions. They continue to challenge their right to vote.

I caught most of the trial on CNN this week-end. Unfortunately, it appears that I missed an embarrassing moment. In one of your earlier posts you referred to n incident between Boies and one of Gore's witnesses, Hengartner. Can you please post a link which would explain what that incident was all about?

Thanks

Vince

Yup! Someone around here recently assured me Gore supports statewide hand-counting. It was rather striking to hear his lawyer Boise clammering about claimed law that doesn't require doing that.

And oh yeah, had he asked initially as you suggest, he and the media would have had most all of us agreeing it was fair, despite any Bush claim that hand-counts are inherently unreliable. Some fair counting standard perhaps would have been wrangled, and it likely, IMO, would have begun and finished by awhile ago.

No way would the Republicans have agreed to any state-wide recount, under any circumstances. They can calculate; they'd lose. Their only hope from the beginning has been to prevent recounts.
