Hi Carl - Personally, my preference is also "doing the right thing," even if it may be an unpopular choice. After all, this is a Republic <G>! However, what is the right thing is hard to say. Maybe the minimal is that the FL legislature should make certain there is due representation. I think there is many variations of the "legislative solution." I heard of your Bush-Lieberman scenario. However, if Lieberman becomes the VP, the composition of the Senate will become 51/49 in Republican favor, since CT governor is likely to pick a Republican as replacement. However, if it is indeed up to the FL legislature, it is likely to send in the Bush slate, even though it could also send both slates to let the US House to untangle the mess With regard to Seminole/Martin case, punishing people involved doesn't seem to correct the situation. I am not saying the Republican voters were wrong; however, if these cases have any merit, the Democrat voters indeed were denied an equal opportunity. Punishing people is not a remedy the loss opportunity of the latter. Because voter's right has been the essential point in all the law suits [including the federal case for the Bush camp, who has used the 14th amendment as the pretext,] I simply don't think this is a viable outcome best, Bosco
