I feel sure you're right about Judge Sauls -- to me, he seemed clearly pro-Bush (good ol' boy who falls asleep during the trial). As for how the market will respond, I have no idea. The market definitely wants to think that Sauls is the end of it, but this case will be appealed immediately, and I think everyone is taking the Seminole County case far too lightly. There's no question what the Republicans and the county elections supervisor did was illegal -- the only question is the remedy. Are they just going to throw the whole lot of them in jail, or will they go a step further and void the absentee ballots?

BTW: Big spike in CSCO when Chambers stepped up to the mike. Giving it back right now. It'll be interesting to see how the next two hours go!

No matter which way he rules, he knows the other party is going to appeal any way. So he is going to rule against Gore to make things easy and quick end to this.
