Following The Indicators...
****************************
Ike:

A look at the one month NDX chart shows the 2 day and 4 day MA descending...
bigcharts.com

Momentum is below zero and MACD is negative... William's %R is neutral to positive...

I'd have to see the 2 day MA cross the 4 day MA to the upside along with Momentum, MACD, and William's %R before I'd say we have a bottom... We would at least have to see this happen on the one month chart... Then, I'd be looking for a crossover of the 13 day MA, presently in the 2740 area... Until all this happens, we remain in the claws of the BEAR...

The main point that makes me sure we're up to the BK is the 1,7% overnight jump of the Euro (confirming the breakout of the trend)and even a strenghtening in the Yen. Combined with the selloff in Europe this morning and the US long bonds looking toppy, my reading is that we are see capital fleeing the $ and also fleeing stocks in general. This, once realized by global markets, should increase selling pressure over the critical measure. This should be valid especially for money in the Dow which is more risk-averse than Nasd investments. A -1,7% move due to currency moves is a larger day to day move than the DOW does normally alone.

I'm very surprised of what I see so far but I think it is too early to tell. Anyway, I think if one talks about such for month one should also have the courage to try to call it once it looks like it...BEFORE it actually happens.
