US Supreme Court just set aside the Fla Supreme Court decision (meaning, apparently, that they could not legally extend the deadline for counting). The talking heads are still trying to figure out what it means at a detailed level. Saying that Leon County decision coming in 5 minutes (I would guess that it becomes moot since the hand recounts happened after the first deadline, but apparently not). There may be more legal options available for Gore, but IMO public support will sink swiftly. Dave <edit: the Leon County contest was apparently filed on Nov 26, which would now be outside the original schedule (Nov 7 + 7 days to certification + 10 days to file Contests = Nov 24)>
