I trader friend of mine got Cable about the same time as I got ADSL in the same city (The Peg). During this time Cable has got hacked into twice and he has had nothing but problems with lock ups and email (often getting emails 3-4 days late). On the other hand I have been very happy with ADSL. I have been down twice in the last year - once for 20 minutes and once for a day with no major lockups to speak of. I often run 3 seperate streaming programs with several dozens screens/charts running and normally go the entire trading day without a single blip or slow down. In a few months they are releasing the 6Mb/s modems in my area but right now the 1.5Mb/s seem to be working just fine.

Just my two cents on the topic.
