/jack - i agree with your assessment of the TXN deal. It is primarily an exchange of IPR between txn & spinco, not with Q-classic. Of course, since QCOM is the owner of 100% of spinco it had to sign the licensing agreement.

I further think this deal may very well presage a txn investment in the spinco ipo. it may be that this is the first step in the development of a major alliance for qcom in establishing (as an earlier post said) CDMA as the standard.

A big win for QCOM and TXN; probably a lose for INTC.
