As I said earlier, "investors" should be going to Vegas. The odds are better there. Unless, of course, an "investor"
understands how to play both sides of this treacherous market.

John,
I disagree. You're describing trading rather than investing. For a long term investor, there are several bargains out there that may not be there for long. QCOM is in a better position than they were when the stock was at 200. There has been NO negative news on NTAP, yet the stock is trading a shade below 60 (down from 152 a little over a month ago). RMBS's story is better than it's ever been, yet the stock is down. VTSS is another one with nothing but good news on the horizon, yet it's been beaten down along with everything else. If you are an investor and can hold for 5 years or more, I think that you won't see prices such as these for long. You may be able to wait and get them a little lower, but you may not. I have little doubt that the majority of these great companies will be worth a lot more in the future.

It would be like Vegas if you were playing short term calls or put strategies.
