Let me try again: post spinout QClassic wouldn't need any addition IP, so why does the TI x-license involve QClassic? I doubt (hope not) that Irwin gave up the farm today, but without more details it sure sounds like TI can make chips for any standard royalty free. I'm sure that TI's customers who will build handsets (Nokia) would pay royalties to Q but if TI gets to sell royalty free then Q just dropped the overall royalty rate.

Someone explain to me that I'm completely wrong, please.<g>
