I think Marty claims that he just passed on false information, not knowing that it was false. I don't know the legal ramifications in that case. Aren't you an attorney, albeit an "oil trash" one? :-)

This company had better pay the IRS before they look closer into the mess! I believe the half million dollars or so is for unpaid employee withholding taxes.

How does that happen? You pay the employee and deduct their taxes, but don't send it in?
