What crimes aren't hate crimes. If somebody robs a bank, it's probably because they hate not having money. Thus, they must hate poor people. Obviously, poor people should be a "protected class" with stiff penalities for hating them (even if that hate is not acted upon).

I think I drove a little over the speed limit this morning. Perhaps a judge should decide if it was because I hate being late for work, or because I hate slow people. Now we know that slow people are protected by the ADA, so perhaps the Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Hate and Fir__rms should be sent to my house.
