William,

their is definitely more to the story than we are aware of

From the Q press release:
The Company's business areas include integrated CDMA chipsets and system software; technology licensing; Eudora® email software for Windows® and Macintosh® computing platforms; digital cinema systems; and satellite-based systems including portions of the Globalstar™ system and wireless fleet management systems, OmniTRACS® and OmniExpress™.

TI make Digital Micromirror chips which are used in cinema-quality projection systems. Perhaps there is a synergy there. They make chips which combine TI DSP and ARM microcontrollers and supply GSM software to run on them. These chips are used by some of the largest GSM handset manufacturers. There must be scope for integrating Snaptrack functionality into these chips.
