Formula One race cars must fall with certain mechanical parameters. A car that exceeds these limitations is illegal. A race may come down to a matter of centimeters. The fact that a race results in a photo finish is no cause to forget about the rules that apply to all cars. The same reasoning is applicable to an election. The only reason that Bush is close enough to make it a close race is because his side failed to follow the rules. Did you read the Miami Herald's front page story that gave Gore a 20,000 plus vote win had all the legal votes cast been counted?

I hope you didn't burn yourself with your coffee, and, if you did, that it was from McDonalds.
