OF COURSE they're damn subtle about it!! And not only they are subtle but they're sly as well: just recall how Bilderberg spinned their "Buchanan smoke screen" while they actually were frantic at screwing up the Bush campaign.... Now tell me, TE, what alternative line of attack did Bilderberg have to weigh down on the US presidential election, anyway?? They couldn't flounce in your media centerstage and blab off their displeasure about Mr GW Bush's minority picks! They just couldn't barge into your prime-time newscasts and tell the American audience, "Hey, wait a minute! We, the Bilderbergers, together with our Israeli friends, are sorta sick of Mr Bush turning the State Dept. into a Cosby Show of sorts.... We represent a sizable corporate lobby whose vested interest in transatlantic trade calls for more "conservative" appointments as regards Mr Bush's foreign affairs team...." Just tell me how an already Euro-bashing opinion would stomach such a muscling in on the US presidential election?? The powers that be had no choice but to obliquely foil a forthcoming Republican administration.... As I pointed out in my previous posts, both Bilderberg and the pro-Israeli lobby already had a firm grip on US mainstream media. Furthermore, most political pundits knew well in advance that, once their poll-rigging to level off Gore and Bush was successful, the whole game would be decided in Florida --whence the Florida squeeze.... I just purchased the last edition of Le Monde Diplomatique yesterday and, interestingly, US pundit Serge Halimi (who, btw, never misses an opportunity to slam the Republicans) noted in one of his articles that the networks suckered GW Bush into the Florida Discount because Florida's GOP strongholds lay in another time zone.... Hence, Halimi says, the dirty trick of declaring a Gore win prematurely might have cost Bush THOUSANDS of votes --from demobilized voters. From now on, as time is running out for Al Jinx Gore, I guess both Bilderberg and the pro-Israeli lobby will aim directly at their real bugaboos, namely, Colin Powell and Ms Condi Rice. Considering how Americans hold their U.S. Supreme Court in high esteem, Al Gore is doomed to lose his uphill battle against an increasingly ill-disposed public opinion.... Therefore, on the legal front, the best they can do is to contemptuously downplay the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling against the Florida Supreme Court. But the fact remains that what the US Supreme Justices basically told the Florida Justices was, "well, with all our brains, we just don't understand how you folks reached to the decision to CHANGE Florida's election law.... so, could you, please, tell us more about your 'rationale' in doing so???" In short, the Florida Justices were given one week to show the US Supreme Court how they've been able to outsmart the US Supreme Justices in interpreting the Law.... Tough shit! Gus.
