If you've followed John's posts on this and the ntap threads, you'll understand that he is managing a private fund. He was not bragging about his personal wealth.

< You seem to be in a state of cognitive dissonance. Can you say circumlocution? Come on John, just step right up and spit it out - "mine's bigger than yours!" (portfolio, that is). ;-) >

My comments on daytrading strategies from Monday simply reiterates the same data which was originally posted from Thursday. I don't think it's oxymoronic to repeat the information and follow up by saying that I won't be posting information about the size of the trades anymore in the FUTURE.

Aside from my primary job as a husband and father, my other job is to manage my portfolio to produce profits - I believe that the majority of people on this thread have the same goal. I stuck my neck out to include information on the size of my daytrade orders in hopes of providing another dimension to the trading data. Instead, I get flogged for "bragging" about the size of my portfolio.

I am saddened by the amount of contempt and jealousy displayed on SI. We are a community of investors with diverse beliefs and backgrounds - please show more tolerance, and keep the vitriol to a minimum, because smiley faced emoticons do little to blunt harsh words.
