That is just plain wrong.

From May '93 through Sep '93, the Nasdaq increased more than 10%.

In the first half of 1991, the Nasdaq increased more than 30%.

Pick just about any 5 month range in 1989. You'll find an increase of more than 8%.

The first half of 1988, the Nasdaq went up more than 25%.

The only years in the bull market that apparently died earlier this year that wouldn't have had 5 month periods that outdid the 8% that we have referenced here would be 1992, 1990, and 1984.

Then again, most of these years of excellent performance have been market by GOP presidents that you have been less than objective about, so I can see why you wouldn't be objective about stock market performance during this period, either.
