re: evaluating the Y2K (non) problem:

I always thought Y2K was a religious question, and could not be evaluated with models, logic, or facts. Or, rather, that facts and logic were just used to back up a Belief (that the world would, or would not, come to an end on 1/1/00). And that Belief was arrived at by mysterious, emotional means. People are either susceptable to End-Of-World-Scenarios, or they aren't. Yardeni was.

The question of where interest rates are headed can, IMO, be analysed logically.
