ON TOPIC

Notice that oil has taken it on the chin the last two trading sessions, but the OSX is holding firm and has posted small gains. Perhaps the predictions of OSX 80 are a bit premature.

What's that ? Bush is standing up in the on-deck circle, picked up a big toothpick, and is approaching the plate.
Could be interesting tomorrow. Got OSX ?

Per Slider's rule of "trading the traders" we may want think about it a bit...Looking for all opinions.

Since the election, this thread has spent approximately only 15% of its time talking oil/NG, 30% talking about Gold and "the big Kahuna" and the rest talking about Politics, and miscellaneous what not.

My take on this is....a lot of sitting on the sidelines going on, and we are just a bit bored.

I have made no bones about enjoying and profiting from the intelligent commentary from those in the oil and trading community. My style is simple...if 'everybody' can make money in a bull market, but its the 'exceptional' ones that make money in a bear, I will pull in my ego and gladly admit I am not 'exceptonional' and play a waiting game. Is this what is going on here?

Special situations like SMOP, long shot value plays like RRC and luck of the drill bit plays like MEXP still interest me, but right now it seems there is a great deal of 'confusion' or 'disagreement' here about what the future portends. Though there seems to be a strong bearish sentiment permeating the air, based more on hopefully good collective instinct based on past experience.

So, I am not fighting the tape here either. Looking for hopefully a nice profit on SMOP, maybe eventually get lucky in MEXP, and considering dumping RRC at a fiveish high limit or low four high three stop loss.

Patim...I really need to read the thread before contributing. Man, ya play the race card and it sure hits a nerve, eh, Patim?

Actually if you read the book The Bell Curve , part of what they conclude is that blacks are genetically less intelligent than whites. I read the book and wrote a report on it in college. The author's have been blasted for their conclusion, needless to say. and taken serious heat for being "racist"..

They were, however, scientists, and used scientific methods to reach their conclusions..

they also concluded that asians are genetically more intelligent than whites FWIW

OT to WB,
You say:

"If what you cite is true, then the "average white" has above average IQ (100), because $27K is > $25 K. Kind of hard to believe since in 1989 whites were the majority of the population (I believe). I'm not saying its impossible, just strange."

No, if the pool of all whites is included, then high IQ whites make enough to pull the white average up $2,000.
