CrazyMan, Re: Arctic Silver

Thanks very much for the tips! I will pick up some acetone so I will be prepared to clean up any extra and also try to avoid doing the process at 4 AM (which was when I decided to "pencil"). I will try a few different runs but will certainly seen an improvement over the stock heat fan with removed pad (and no grease so 60C! w/RC5, 21C over MB temp) and the new equipment.

I might not play much, though, if the heatsinks continue to be hard for me to carefully install/remove. Will upgrade in steps (also got additional case fan) to see how each component improves temperature. Could also test OC limit but this can take too many reboots.

Heat transfer has certainly been the interesting topic of the last few days. Hopefully we will have some new data to digest rather than projections (Palomino and/or actual Si-28 results).
