Carl, The latest ruling simply says that Gore didn't have enough votes shown uncounted to make the full manual recount worthwhile. In short, Gore just didn't have the votes. It is a Catch 22 situation. The only way to justify the recount is to prove that the recount will make you win. The only way to prove that the recount will make you win is to hold the recount. The judge is either a moron, or corrupt. The fact that the Republicans (from the SOS on down) have worked so hard to block a hand recount ion Miami-Dade is pretty good indication that they believe it would give Gore the victory. Gore gained 500 votes from much smaller counties. The ruling made no sense and appears very suspect. Scumbria
