Elmer,

The Florida law:

1. Requires certification 1 week after the election.

2. Allows for absentee ballots, after that date.

3. Allows for hand recounts that can't possibly be done within one week of the election.

Obviously, the law is ambiguous.

I like the way you state opinion as fact. I would propose that the Florida Supreme Court was interpreting the law, which the Secretary of State has chosen to disregard. The US Supreme Court seems to agree, but needs some clarification.

But the strange part is that you are fighting battles that are already over, a habit of VERY far right wing Republicans. Bush has won, GET OVER IT. Be a gracious winner, don't rub it in.

And remember, now that your guy has won, McMannis will hold you responsible every day the market goes down, starting on January 22, 2001.
