Yes, JFK did win the popular vote, with Daley and LBJ stuffing the ballot boxes in Chicago and South Texas. You know I always held JFK and LBJ particularly responsible for Vietnam. I was in the Army in the early 60's and got out around the time JFK was cranking up our presence there. I was one of the fortunate ones to not see duty there.
