Nice investigative work John but I don't think you're right on all counts. Intel blows fuses on their parts to select the clock multiplier. They can't be retesting parts already binned as 933MHz. And why should they? They would just test parts at 1GHz first and for those that fail they would just drop down until they pass and then bin them out, all in one socketing. No need to retest. They have that flexibility.
