Hi Downsouth, about a month ago you mentioned you might be taking a position is Veritas. I was just wondering if you had finished your DD?

Re: BrowseMaster

If their are any former users of "BrowseMaster" here, I would like to share with you a message I just posted to John Busby on the "Silicon Investor ThinkTank" thread:

Message 14960748

I have also posted to Bryan Burdick on the BrowseMaster thread. Mike Coddington evidently does not accept PM's.

Perhaps you might want to drop John a message, if you are interested in the long promised BrowseMaster feature set.

My message to John:

>> John,

<< We don't have plans at this time to expand beyond 40 at a time. Personally, I prefer 40 to 100... it's a little easier to absorb from my perspective & not as much scrolling >>

Really. Have you used the SI (Classic) add on called BrowseMaster?

Have you consulted with Craig Richard's, its author.

Fetching 100 (or 40) was only one of many fine features of the add on.

Some time ago Catlady, acting on behalf of long time SI users, and with their cooperation, compiled a list of prioritized Browsemaster (BM) features.

On Thursday, Jun 22, 2000 Bryan Burdick informed readers on the "BrowseMaster" thread"

"Let me start with a sincere apology. We had ever intention of tackling the BM features this quarter, but sometimes the best laid plans ... As soon as the database upgrade is complete, the BM features are right at the top of the list. Again, my humble apologies. I sincerely appreciate your patience. "

A great deal of time has passed since this was posted.

The fact of the matter is that BrowseMaster provided a great deal of functionality and ease of use that is still VERY lacking on SI.

Would you please advise a status report on the planned introduction of BM features. <<

Thank you.
