Skeeter,

> chris, last time a dellhead called me a contrary indicator dell stock ws $50.

You mean Dell is good short? Oh come on, just cause Dell's selling desktops at cost, does not mean the stock is worth at least 30!

Well, he's not the only one sucked into the pc black hole. Last summer, Jim Seymour on TheStreet.com said Dell was going to 70 on the strength of it's servers. He neglected to mention that they were mainly selling the low margin 2 processor boxes, but that is another story. Anyway, October he did a "mea culpa" by saying "I missed that one." Then in November he wrote, "the boxmakers can't be owned." I think Mr. Seymour's friendship with Mr. Dell (they both live in Austin, TX) may have clouded his judgment, when he made the $70 call.

At this point, if the short sellers are pilling on, trying to shoot down the funds that own Dell and facing redemptions, maybe we could have a short covering induced short term pop... (ya, ya, i know, unlikely at best...)
