We have all witnessed the insanity of the analysts in the last few months. I have my own story to share. I have a broker with Merril Lynch, its a great deal I pay 1% of everything invested and get unlimited trades at no cost, which as much as I trade they r losing money on me. Anyways I really like my broker, he just choose a stupid profession, not his fault. Anyways I bot a stock on his advise did my own DD and felt good the stock has low PE, chart looked good, they appeared to have bottomed. I had a nice profit in it and was happy with his pick. All the sudden first thing in the morning on CNBC Merril downgrades this stock, wait a minute my broker who works for ML just sold it to me with their research!! I called him very angry and said how can they do this to their own customers, what am I paying them for? He found out to give there brokers early info of a stock downgrade would be illegal. So I ask all of you why do we need them? That will be the last time I listen to the Merrill Research team, but will continue with my direct acct. because its cheap.
