Here is my prayer for you. Let me find peace and good will in people that are different from me. Let me learn the truth though I may be blind to it now. Let me show my fellow man the consideration I would want him to show me. Let me not judge those less fortunate. Let me trust and not be harmed. Let me love fully and completely. Let me have the wisdom to know when traditions are valuable and when they have become a liability. Let me know that I am not alone and that there are others who seek fellowship with me. Let me not live in fear. Let me vanquish the foe of ignorance. Let me learn from those that I do not understand. Let my children be free of disease and pain. Let them avoid the suffering that I have felt. Let me have the strength to teach and the kindness to discipline. Let me have the strength to avoid the errors of my elders while learning from their experience. Let me be me without the need for self-loathing. Optional:Amen.
