Some may not feel optimistic about Hong Kong's. A spokesperson of HSBC's MPF unit said that only 0.5 pct of the 600,000 participants signed up with the bank chose any Hong Kong funds. In other words, only 3000 people picked them. Moreover, only 12.3 pct of people with Manulife's MPF programme invested t in Hong Kong stocks in the overall portfolio.
