I see you've had a very hard time, Chris, and I'm sure the degree of your past and present torment explains why you are so obsessed with the punishment of other human beings. Many people have behaved hatefully toward you, evidently. It must be a comfort to have found a construct that encourages you to believe that in the great hereafter they will be punished, while you will at last be happy and at peace. I have no interest in arguing you out of your identification with a powerful, redeeming, figure who has the bonus-attribute of offering you the prospect that your persecutors, and all with whom in your heart you associate with your persecutors, will suffer forever. But it's utterly clear that the single aspect of the powerful, mythological God-figure you've found strength in "aligning" yourself with is not His beneficence, but his vengefulness. And it's also clear that this discredits, as Steven has pointed out, the Christian ideas you claim you are here to promulgate. It taints them with the atmospheres of emotional sickness. But Chris, your need to vent your hate and your vengefulness is so much greater than your desire to spread the word of your God that you have chosen simply to revel in images that allow you to experience certain vicious or unwholesome satisfactions while, at the same time, you are enjoying a bracing sanctimony. But sanctimony only feels good, it doesn't wash you clean. Maybe there's another, holier, way you could find to align yourself with a Figure Who has the power you so sadly lacked when you needed it, Chris. I hope you find it. I think your life would be better, and you would feel cleaner, if you were able to.
